Event Volunteers
We are always seeking Event Volunteers to support us in a variety of ways. We are excited to offer the following upcoming events and activities – search our calendar for upcoming events – our events are open to all, family-friendly and many are offered at no cost.
Event volunteers can be involved in set-up, tear-down, arranging tables and chairs, decorating, food/bar assistance, etc. We have front and back stage positions depending on your interest and will always find a way to make use of your enthusiasm.
Committees
We have a small number of committees composed of members who have specialized expertise, energy and rich commitment to give back to our community in many different ways.
Each committee is led by a Director of the Board and has Terms of Reference in place to manage duties and responsibilities of each committee. Our current committees include Events, Building and Care. Please contact us if you are interested in serving on a committee.
The Care Committee is of special interest because of the service it provides to our membership. The purpose of the Care Committee is to provide care and support for the Irish community in Calgary. It is dedicated to assisting those in the Calgary Irish community suffering periods of loss, illness, or hardship. The committee also organizes the annual St. Patrick’s Day Ecumenical Service at St. Mary’s Cathedral. Please reach out in confidence care.committee@calgaryics.org
Donate
We are always delighted to receive donations from our membership or others within Calgary. Donations may be put towards a special initiative or event of your choice or into a range of events and activities.
