Annual Events

Every March, we celebrate Irish Heritage Month. The Green Tie Affair is a long-running annual gala event featuring live performers, a wonderful meal and dancing. St. Patrick’s Day is a highlight of our calendar year and we host a range of events including an ecumenical service and community luncheon at St Mary’s Cathedral in downtown Calgary. Back at the Centre, we have two floors of live music, Irish dancing performances, and an excellent offering of traditional Irish food and drink to tantalize your taste buds!

Regular summer events include our Stampede Breakfast held in early July where we celebrate our Western spirt with our wonderful neighbors in the community of Bowness. This is a free event and family friendly. Then annually each August since 1994, we host our Golf Tournament which is always a sell-out event. We play at the beautiful Wintergreen Golf Course and then return to the Irish Cultural Centre for a first class steak dinner, live entertainment and a chance to win some amazing prizes!

Winter events include our Christmas Dinner and Concert held in Bunratty Hall featuring wonderful musical and dance performances that bring seasonal cheer to the hearts of those near and far from home.
