About the event
This event represents an intercultural collaboration between the St. Andrew-Caledonian Society of Calgary and the Irish Cultural Society of Calgary!
The dancing will be Scottish (in fun, fast, and easy-to-learn Scottish cèilidh style of folk dancing), the music will be Irish, Scottish, and Western Canadian (as performed by talented local folk musicians), and the venue will be Irish (Bunratty Hall, in the headquarters of the Irish Cultural Society).
All dances will be called by professional callers and walked through before dancing. No prior experience or pre-arranged partners are necessary!
At intermission, there will be a prize drawing, for which raffle tickets will be offered for two dollars a piece during the event's first half. There might also be some Scottish Gaelic singing!
Tha sinn an dòchas gum faic sinn an sin sibh! (We hope to see you there!)
